HGV Class 1 – Vacuum Tanker Driver (Full Time)
Location: Nottinghamshire Salary: £15.00 - £16.50 per hour
About the Role

As part of this high-performing team, you’ll operate a fleet of top-of-the-range Cappellotto equipment to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions to our clients.
This is a chance to drive with one of the modernest fleets in the industry, operate advanced vacuum tankers and jet vacs, and work alongside professionals who pride themselves on professionalism, teamwork, and reliability.

- Hazardous waste removal
- Tank cleaning
- Drain maintenance
- CCTV inspections
- End-to-end drainage solutions
Operating from key depots nationwide, we deliver 24/7 coverage, ensuring businesses and public infrastructure remain functional—always with a focus on safety, sustainability, and customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Everyday Driving & Equipment Work
- Operate Class 2 Jet Vac and vacuum tankers to clean and maintain drainage systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Safely clear blockages using high-pressure water jetting techniques to restore drainage flow.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness.

On-Site Operations & Task Management
- Work as part of a two-person team to deliver high-quality service on-site.
- Perform drain diagnostics, minor repairs, and inspections using advanced equipment.
- Record all job details accurately via company systems.
- Assess and mitigate risks dynamically at each site.
Safety, Compliance & Training
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies, including PPE usage, manual handling, and site setup.
- Follow UK driving regulations, ensuring compliance with CPC and Tachograph requirements.
- Support colleagues and training mentorship where needed.
- Report defects or hazards immediately to management.
Customer & Team Support
- Uphold excellent customer service, communicating clearly with clients.
- Represent Quest Waste Management professionally at all times.

requirements
Qualifications & Licences
✔ Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points). ✔ Driver CPC (required). ✔ Tachograph card (required). ✔ Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain). ✔ WJA-trained (skilled in water jetting / asset renewal administration).
Technical & Attitudinal Skills
🔹 Strong interest in drainage, waste management, or related utility sectors. 🔹 Hands-on approach—will work across varied job types in all weather conditions. 🔹 Excellent teamwork & communication skills. 🔹 Basic IT skills with adaptability to new systems and processes.
