Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver based in Dunbar, covering end-of-life tyre collection routes across Scotland.
Our client is an established waste management business offering consistent Monday to Friday work, your own assigned vehicle from day one and a structured overnight rota.
What's on Offer?
- Temporary to permanent opportunity
- Monday to Friday, start times between 4:30am and 6am depending on route
- 15.23 per hour, rising to 20.30 per hour after 48 hours, paid weekly
- 26.20 overnight allowance - overnights available at least every second week
- Own vehicle assigned from day one

As a Class 2 Driver, Your Duties Will Include
- Collecting end-of-life tyres from garages, commercial businesses and waste facilities across Scotland
- Manually loading and unloading tyres at collection points and the depot
- Completing all required paperwork including waste transfer notes accurately
- Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects promptly
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers at all collection points

The Ideal Class 2 Driver Will Have
- A valid Class 2 licence - new driver's welcome
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- A good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling requirements of the role
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction
- Strong time management and organisational skills
