HGV Class 2 Driver – Water and Drainage Management

FM Conway is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you’ll protect communities and maintain essential infrastructure by ensuring smooth water flow through drainage systems. Working as part of a two-person crew, you’ll be at the forefront of drainage operations, including cleaning, clearing, and repairing systems.

Based in Sittingbourne, Kent, this is a full-time, permanent position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of drainage services, including:
    • High-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean, and maintain drainage networks.
  • Respond swiftly to emergency callouts, resolving blockages, overflows, and urgent drainage issues.
  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance, including clearing, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Accurately document and report all work, identifying any recurring or emerging problems.
  • Use our app-based reporting system to update progress, upload photos/videos, and ensure seamless communication.

Person Specification

  • Must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence.
  • Must possess a valid Driver CPC.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Previous experience in drainage is preferred but not essential—training provided for the right candidate.

A collaborative attitude and physical stamina are essential for this front-line role.
