Your new company
We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based at our Head Office in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver to play a key role in supporting operations across various sites in the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely transportation and delivery of plant, equipment, construction materials, and site accommodation to projects across the region.
Your new role
- Delivery and collection of plant and equipment to and from site
- Transportation and positioning of site accommodation (cabins)
- Delivery and collection of scaffolding, fencing, materials, and components
- Carrying out safe loading and unloading of goods
- Ensuring all loads are secured in line with safety regulations
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Adhering to all road transport and health & safety legislation
- Managing delivery schedules and routes effectively across the North West

What you'll need to succeed
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- HIAB/ Lorry Loading License
- Proven experience as an HGV Driver or in a similar role
- Excellent driving record and strong road awareness
- Good knowledge of road haulage regulations and HGV operations
- Strong geographical knowledge of the North West
- Ability to safely load and unload heavy materials
- Understanding of health & safety best practices within transport and construction
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication skills
What you'll get in return

- £18 - £21 per hour (PAYE)
