Class 2 Driver – Transport Team (Booker Retail Partner)
About the Role
Overtime opportunities available. Fully funded CPC (Driver CPC) training provided.
We’re recruiting for Class 2 LMV drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our partner retailers.
Key aspects of the role:
- This is a physically demanding position.
- Tasks include handballing and manual handling, as well as working in adverse weather conditions.
- Parties involve handling products at delivery points.
Responsibilities
Core Duties:
- Drive LMV (light motor vehicle) type Class 2 vehicles safely to deliver stock.
- Handball and lift products in challenging conditions (including outdoor warehouses).
- Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to independent retailer partners.
- Manage multi-drop routes (temperature-controlled food deliveries preferred but not essential).
Work Environment & Flexibility:
- Daily routes vary significantly—applicants must demonstrate flexibility in work patterns and ability to adapt to short-notice schedule changes.
- Expected to work up to 48 hours per week (with available overtime).
Requirements
Must have: ✅ Valid Class 2 licence holder. ✅ Driver CPC qualification (additional CPC Training provided by Booker). ✅ Basic customer service skills.
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience in multi-drop deliveries, particularly for temperature-controlled food.
