HGV Class 2 Driver – Distribution Centre (Leicester)
About the Role
Shoezone is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Leicester, working in their Distribution Centre on a full-time, permanent basis (42 hours over 4 days). In return, you’ll receive thoughtful training, a competitive salary, and excellent benefits.

The Responsibilities
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your primary role is to ensure stock is delivered efficiently and safely from the Distribution Centre to our stores. You will report directly to the Transport Coordinator and will require:
- Driving a company HGV while maintaining roadworthiness.
- "Handballing" stock from the back of the lorry into store premises (and vice versa for returns).
- Adherence to driving hour regulations and safety rules.
- Performing key drops, including deliveries outside store hours.
- Completing overnight stays if required by your route.
- Keeping the lorry clean, tidy, and well-maintained (both internally and externally).
Requirements & Qualifications
To apply for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid Class 2 HGV license.
- Possess an up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Demonstrate excellent time management and efficient monitoring of driving hours.
