An HGV Class 2 Driver is required for a full-time, permanent position based in Newton Abbot.
Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting for a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join a well-established food distribution operation. This role would suit an experienced HGV driver or a newly qualified Class 2 driver looking to build confidence and experience with full training and support.
About The Role
You will be delivering chilled and frozen food products to hospitality businesses across the South West, including restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels and takeaways.
This is multi-drop delivery work on planned routes, with up to 30 drops per day. You will need to be comfortable dealing with customers, keeping paperwork accurate and completing deliveries safely and professionally.

Duties
- Deliver chilled and frozen food products across the South West
- Complete multi-drop deliveries on planned routes
- Carry out up to 30 deliveries per day
- Deliver to restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels and takeaways
- Provide professional customer service at each delivery point
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Make sure deliveries are completed safely, correctly and on time
- Follow Driver CPC, tachograph and road transport regulations
- Represent the business professionally while on customer sites
Essential
What we are looking for
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence, Category C
- Valid Driver CPC qualification card
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Good customer service skills
- Comfortable with multi-drop delivery work
- Able to work safely and independently once trained
Desirable
- Previous Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience
- Experience delivering food products
- Experience delivering to hospitality businesses
Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply, as full training is provided.

Pay and hours
- £35,508.00 per annum
- Full-time permanent position
