We are recruiting HGV drivers to be based out of our Manchester depot.
The purpose of the job is to support the Transport Manager in the day-to-day activities of the operation.
Main Responsibilities
- To ensure continuity of Transport operations by providing operational support to the Transport Manager and ensuring compliance with the Company’s legal & other responsibilities.
- Work with the Transport Manager to manage the development, performance, and maintenance of the transport team to produce an efficient transport service, maximising performance, value, and profitability against pre-agreed targets.
- Work with the Transport Manager to manage the department in line with the budgetary constraints.
- Undertake training and development sessions.
- Monitor driver hours & infringements.
- Carry out regular vehicle gate (spot) checks to ensure continued compliance.
- Ensure pre and post use vehicle checks are completed daily.
- Report all accidents/incidents in line with Brenntag reporting requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- HGV Class 2 License along with current driver CPC training.

Work Rota:
Your usual hours will be from 5am to 14.15pm, Monday to Friday.
