Optme Group Class 2 HGV Drivers Opportunity
Optme Group is looking for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to support a major logistics operation at Gatwick Airport. This isn’t long-haul work – you’ll be making short, fixed runs between the Gatwick Consolidation Centre and the Airside Operation.

What's on Offer
- Rate of Pay: £18.73 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension)
- Shifts Pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Timing: Example times below
- Staff parking
- Weekly pay: (Every Friday)
- Temp to Perm: (performance-based)
Key Duties
- Drive a Class 2 vehicle between two fixed airport sites (short distance only)
- Load, unload, and deliver goods
- Collect returns and empty equipment for return to the consolidation centre
- Follow all customer-specific and airport procedures
- Maintain regular contact with the warehouse management team
- Check all goods against the manifest and report any discrepancies
- Visually inspect items for damage and record any issues promptly
- Secure loads correctly and ensure they stay within weight limits
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete Ops 13 paperwork
- Comply with working time rules, CPC requirements, and tachograph regulations
- Perform any reasonable additional duties as required

Requirements
- You must hold a Full UK Driving License.
- You must hold a valid CPC and Digi Card.
- Great understanding of the English language.
- Passionate and take pride in their work.
- Must be able to provide 5-year checkable history, in order for us to obtain your blue airside pass.
- Drug and alcohol testing will be required prior to employment.

Shifts
The Airport is operational 7 days per week, and candidates will be working on a rolling rota.
An example of the shift hours:
- Day 1: 06:00AM TO 18:00PM
- Day 2: 06:00AM TO 18:00PM
- Day 3: 18:00PM TO 06:00AM
- Day 4: 18:00PM TO 06:00AM
