HGV Class 2 Driver Loader
Waste and Recycling ViDem Driver – Refuse & Recycling Vehicle
Salary: £15.30 per hour with overtime paid at 1.5x Location: Hortonwood 60, Telford, TF1 7AD ** Hours:** Guaranteed 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30), including overtime as required (including Good Friday and eight Saturdays annually following Bank Holidays)

Your Responsibilities
Key areas of focus in this frontline role include:
- Collecting and disposing of:
- Recycling
- Refuse
- Garden waste
- Food waste from domestic properties in Telford and Wrekin
- Safe vehicle operation, adhering to training, procedures, and legal requirements (protecting safety of yourself, your team, and the public)
- Pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, including:
- Roadworthiness assessment
- Recording logs (onboard tablet)
- Reporting defects immediately
- Ensuring carriageways are left clean, with spillages immediately cleaned up
- Recording completed work on an onboard device and reporting any safety or collection issues
Requirements
Essential: ✅ Cat C (Class 2) Driver’s Licence (minimum requirement) ✅ ATD Labels/Pass (Digi/Tachograph) Card ✅ Driver CPC qualification (training provided if required) ✅ Willingness to load waste and drive* ✅ Experience within the Waste Industry (preferred) ✅ Customer-facing experience (preferred)
*Note: Physical loading tasks may be required upon request.
Additional Considerations:
- Regular manual handling (lifting, operating machinery)
- All-weather operations (outdoor work in varied conditions)
