# Class 2 HGV Driver – Newquay, Cornwall (Permanent, Full-Time)
Pay Rate: £38,680.83 Grade: P Location: Newquay – TR9 6QY Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 05:30 AM – End of Shift (Full-time)
About the Role

We’re now looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to join us in Newquay—someone who thrives on reliability, precision, and keeping communities and businesses moving smoothly.
The role involves delivering alcohol goods to establishments including pubs, clubs, bars, and restaurants, as well as heavy lifting and dedicated adherence to safety protocols at every stage.
What You’ll Be Doing
(Typical Daily Responsibilities)
- Delivering alcohol wider to pubs, clubs, bars, and restaurants across the Newquay area
- Conducting regular manual handling tasks—expect high physical demand
- Operating in a dual-driver capacity as part of a pair
- Driving safely under Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Undertaking daily vehicle checks and compliance audits (highway code, safety checks)
- Ensuring full adherence to health and safety standards

For This Role You Should
✔ Hold valid HGV Class 2 (C category) driving licence ✔ Have a Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card ready ✔ Ideally have 6+ months’ road experience actively driving a HGV Class 2 vehicle ✔ Be comfortable with heavy manual handling daily ✔ Have no issues working within alcohol-focused environments
