HGV Class 2 Driver - Water & Drainage Management
Location: Heathrow
Shift Pattern: 6am to 4pm
Salary: to be discussed at screening stage
At FM Conway, our HGV Drivers do far more than drive. They play a vital role in protecting communities, preventing flooding and keeping the UK's essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently.
We're looking for a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing Water and Drainage Management team. Working as part of a supportive two-person crew, you'll use specialist vehicles and equipment to carry out a variety of drainage operations, from planned maintenance and high-pressure water jetting to emergency response work.
No two days are the same. Whether you're helping to prevent flooding after heavy rainfall, responding to urgent drainage issues or supporting the maintenance of critical infrastructure, you'll finish each shift knowing your work has made a genuine difference.
As one of our HGV Class 2 Drivers, you will:
- Carry out a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean and maintain drainage networks.
- Respond to emergency callouts, resolving blockages, overflows and other drainage issues quickly and safely.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance, helping to keep water flowing and minimise disruption to local communities.
- Accurately record completed work and identify any additional repairs or follow-up actions.
- Use our app-based reporting system to update jobs, upload photos and communicate effectively with the wider team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
