HGV Class 2 Driver/IPAF Operator
HGV Class 2 Driver / IPAF Operator – Nationwide Platforms
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Driver to extend your skills and become a Driver/Operator in our Specialist Vehicle-Mounted Access Equipment division.
As a Driver/Operator, you will:
- Drive vehicle-mounted access equipment to site
- Operate platforms in line with customer requirements, ranging from setting up camera crews for sporting events to lighting deployments for films or access for window cleaning at height
Good customer service skills are essential, along with an HGV Class 2 licence. Full training in equipment operation will be provided for the right candidate.
Role Summary
The role demands extreme flexibility, with variable working hours (including nights and weekends). There is no set shift pattern.
Remuneration & Benefits
- On-target earnings: £50,000 (including overtime and shift allowances)
- Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities
- Operating truck-mounted mobile elevation platforms safely and efficiently
- Driving vehicles in compliance with licences and safety regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and equipment
- Setting up and operating machines per training and manual guidelines
- Representing the employer professionally, delivering exceptional customer service
- Handling customer queries effectively and relaying details to depot staff when necessary
- Accurately completing all relevant paperwork and ensuring mandatory safety checks
Requirements
Essential Criteria
- HGV Class 2 licence (non-medical grade)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deliver high-standard customer care
- Head for heights to confidently operate elevated platforms
- Flexibility to meet variable working hours, including nights and weekends
