Quest Waste Management is a trusted leader in environmental services, specialising in drainage, liquid waste, and bulk tanker operations. With a strong reputation for reliability and quality, we deliver compliant, efficient solutions to clients nationwide.
Following a recent contract win and continued business growth, we are expanding our operational team and are now recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Tanker Drivers to support increased demand.
You will play a key role in the safe and efficient transportation of liquid and controlled waste, working on a 4 on / 4 off rota (days and nights), including weekends and public holidays as part of the shift pattern. This is a varied, hands-on role within a fast-growing business, offering stability, training, and long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of specialist vacuum tankers (full training provided where required)
- Respond to emergency call-outs including sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents
- Collect and safely dispose of liquid and controlled waste in line with all regulatory requirements
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Complete pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections
- Accurately record job details and maintain required documentation
- Ensure PPE is worn correctly and kept in good condition
- Support other operational teams when vehicles are off the road or additional assistance is required

Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph card
- Tanker experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Previous training or competency in high-pressure jetting, first aid, or manual handling is desirable
- A flexible, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills as the business grows
- Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays, and out-of-hours shifts as part of a 24/7 operational service
- A current, up-to-date Street Works card is desirable and would support meeting contract requirements
