HGV Class 2 Transit Driver

About The Role

Location: Leeds Skelton Grange

Position: Permanent, Full-Time (Guaranteed Hours)

Earnings:

  • £12.65/hr basic
  • £15.81/hr overtime
  • OTE: £37,133 per year (based on a 50-hour workweek: 40 basic + 10 regular overtime, plus daily completion bonuses)

  • Service Delivery: Safely collect, exchange, and deliver waste bins and containers from customer sites with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Customer Service: Communicate professionally and warmly with customers on-site, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Compliance & Vehicle Care: Complete daily vehicle checks, promptly report defects, and maintain company vehicles in optimum condition for safety.
  • Admin & Data Management: Handle all delivery documentation, report daily activities, and uphold data protection and GDPR compliance.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

  • Days: Monday to Friday with occasional rotational Saturdays.
  • Shift Start: Early morning around 05:00 AM until completion.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Valid UK Driving Licence (Category B): Clean driving record required.
  • Experience Preferred: Previous experience in multi-drop delivery/collection environments is ideal; local area knowledge is a definite benefit.
  • Physical Fitness: Hands-on approach with strong manual handling capabilities (moving heavy containers).
  • Skills: Excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Outdoor work background considered a plus.
