Experienced HGV Cover Driver – Full-Time (Permanent)

Now hiring for a full-time, permanent experienced HGV driver to join our award-winning team as a Cover Driver.

About the Role

  • Drive across HGV bulk, curtain-side, Pallex vehicles, and delivery vans
  • Cover transport for agricultural, aggregate, and general freight across the Southern UK
  • Work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts during peak summer harvest (July–September)
  • Possible night-out duties, with a £25 allowance for overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, timely deliveries of diverse cargo types
  • Maintain compliance with HGV regulations (C+E license required)
  • Follow corporate policies for service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Perform pre/post-drive checks and vehicle maintenance logs

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of C+E license experience
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and selected nights
