HGV Driver (Class 1 Nights)
Are you a newly qualified CE Driver looking to take the first step in your HGV career? This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience while working as part of the night team for a well-established logistics company.
Our client is keen to support new passes in building confidence behind the wheel, developing practical skills, and establishing a long-term career within a reputable transport operation. This role is ideal for a CE Night Driver or C&E Driver looking for straightforward, consistent trunking work.
Pay: £47,000 per year
Hours: 18:00 – 06:00

Shifts: Monday to Friday (NO weekends)
Location: Robertsbridge, East Sussex
Contract: Temporary / Temp to Perm
The Role:
As a CE Driver, you will play a key role in the night operation, completing a trunking run involving 1 drop and swap per shift. Working as a Class 1 Driver within the night team, this role offers a simple and structured workload, making it perfect for newly qualified drivers looking to gain real-world experience.
This position provides a supportive environment where you can build confidence and develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating as a HGV 1 Driver completing trunking work (1 drop / swap)
- Conducting safe and efficient runs between depots
- Ensuring timely deliveries and collections
- Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Working closely with the transport team to support smooth night operations
- Adhering to all driving, working time, and safety regulations

Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C&E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good awareness of health & safety standards
