About the Role
As a Driver for ABN, you will be the face of our business, delivering animal feed effectively and safely to our customers. Part of a transport team of over 240 drivers, you’ll use the latest technology and state-of-the-art vehicles to contribute to delivering two million tonnes of animal feed annually across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Key player in the food supply chain, ensuring stable, secure, and consistent work.
- May handle bulk or palletised deliveries depending on needs.
- Operate in an agricultural environment, meaning deliveries to farms in all seasons.
- Routines may involve extended periods outside the vehicle during loading/unloading in varied weather conditions.
- Key interactions with customers daily—relationship building and excellent customer service are critical.
- WorkAverage ~48-hour week, with typical shifts around 12-13 hours (adjusted based on road conditions or schedules).

What We Are Looking For
Experience & Driving Qualities
- Experienced Class 1 Driver with valid CPC.
- Knowledge of EU Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations.
- Experience with Moffett unpacking or forklift is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic IT literacy required for modern driver technology.
Skills & Attributes
- Self-motivated and highly organised with exceptional customer service skills.
- Understanding of operating in seasonal agricultural conditions, indoor/outdoor work flexibility, footwear/stocking appropriate for weather changes.
- Safety compliance is our priority—strong adherence to company rules and protocols.
