The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will operate a flatbed vehicle transporting engineering materials and equipment to multiple sites. You will be responsible for the safe loading, securing, and timely delivery of goods, ensuring full compliance with DVSA regulations and company safety standards.
The role involves multi-site deliveries, daily vehicle checks, accurate completion of delivery documentation, and maintaining a professional and reliable presence on the road and on-site. Flexibility and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
Please note: This role requires driving a company vehicle with a manual transmission

⏰ Hours: Fantastic Hours – no evenings/weekends, early finish Friday
- Monday – Thursday 0630/0700 – 1700
- Friday 0630/0700 – 1300 (approx.)
💰 Salary: £15.60 p/h, overtime rate of 1.5x applied after 40 hours
📊 Reports to: Financial Director
📍 Location: Dungannon – The majority of this work will be in Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to ROI.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate an HGV Class 1 flatbed vehicle to transport engineering materials and equipment across multiple sites.
- Safely load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport safety standards.
- Liaise with the planning team to confirm delivery schedules.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Adhere to all road traffic legislation and Driver’s Hours Regulations at all times.
- Conduct and record daily vehicle walkaround checks to maintain vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Accurately complete and manage all delivery and transport documentation, ensuring paperwork is returned as required.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism when interacting with customers and site personnel.
- Follow company health and safety policies, vehicle security procedures, and breakdown reporting processes.
- Notify the company of any changes to your driving licence and respond promptly to compliance communications.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, tidy, and secure at the end of each shift.

Essential Criteria
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
- Minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 Driving Experience
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Tachograph Card
- Clean/Compliant Driving Record
- Knowledge of Load Handling and Vehicle Checks
- Time Management & Reliability
