HGV Driver - Class 1
Class 1 HGV Driver – Permanent (Full-Time)
Grade: O
Shift Patterns: Rotational, Week 1 (Sun–Thurs), Week 2 (Tue–Sat) Location: Hertfordshire (AL10 9BD)
About the Role

We’re looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver to transport aftermarket vehicle products across the South East, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries while adhering to client-specific guidelines.
As part of our team, you’ll drive safely, maintain professionalism, and uphold our commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
✅ Operate within legal driver regulations
- Comply with Working Time Directive/EU Tachograph laws for LGV drivers.
✅ Safety & compliance
- Work in line with training and internal Health & Safety policies.
- Complete OPS13 vehicle checks pre-shift and walk-around inspections when required.
✅ Customer-facing professionalism
- Represent DHL courteously and consistently with customers and the public.
- Adhere to client-specific procedures when operating on customer premises.

- Manage deliveries efficiently, ensuring on-time service and safety.
What This Role Needs
🔹 License & qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C) Licence
- Driver CPC Certification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- 12+ months recent HGV driving experience (preferably in aftermarket logistics)
🔹 Location awareness:
- Familiarity with the South East geography is a plus.
🔹 Safety & operational skills:
- Strict adherence to procedures and safety rules.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions clearly.
- Physical capability to handle and load goods, including bending, lifting, and reaching in line with H&S standards.
