Refuse and Recycling Driver – HGV (M/F/D)
Location: Ash Vale, GU12 5QF Hours: 40 per week (Monday to Friday, 6.30 AM to 3 PM) Salary: £35,369.91 per annum + excellent benefits Proudly keep communities clean and sustainable
Join our Rushmoor team at Serco as an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and contribute to a greener, healthier community. As the public face of our organisation, your dedication will ensure waste and recycling are collected efficiently, supporting high standards throughout our area.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Completing pre-planned routes alongside loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and businesses.
- Serving as Serco’s representative in the community, delivering outstanding customer service every day.
- Ensuring vehicle safety checks are conducted and the truck is clean and operational before each shift.
- Active teamwork: Shifting from driving to loading (depending on round demands) to maintain high efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have:
✔ A valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and Driver CPC. ✔ Demonstrated physical fitness (demands include manual handling). ✔ A willingness to go the extra mile—exceed targets while upholding professionalism. ✔ A team player mindset with a friendly, dedicated approach.
