Connect Appointments is recruiting an HGV Driver/Technician to join a well-established industrial business based in Kirkcaldy.

Our client operates a busy fleet within a heavy industrial environment, offering a structured career pathway to become a DAF certified HGV Technician - with pay increases and progression to back shift and call-out work for the right candidate.

What's on offer?

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Monday to Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm and Friday, 7am to 2:30pm
  • 35,000 per annum based on experience
  • Overtime available at time and a half up to 10.5 hours and double time beyond that
  • Clear career progression to DAF certified HGV Technician

As An HGV Driver/Technician, Your Duties Will Include

  • Driving HGV vehicles as required within the business operation
  • Carrying out basic vehicle checks including tyre pressure, oil levels and wiper condition
  • Supporting the maintenance team with general vehicle upkeep
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all safety standards

To be considered as an HGV Driver/Technician, you will need:

  • A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Some mechanical knowledge or semi-skilled technician experience
  • A willingness to develop and train towards full HGV technician certification
  • A reliable, professional approach to work
