About The Role…
As an HGV Jetting Engineer within our Water division, you will be responsible for operating specialist jetting and vacuum excavation equipment across a wide range of drainage and sewer network projects.
Working as part of a highly skilled team, you will operate our high-specification Recycler, Jetvac and Cityflex units, delivering drainage cleaning, desilting, root cutting and associated CCTV investigations for commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road and utility sector clients.
You will normally work alongside CCTV Drainage Engineers and Drainage Technicians, helping to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards while providing excellent customer service.

As an HGV Jetting Engineer you will…
- Drive and operate HGV jetting equipment safely and effectively on a daily basis.
- Carry out drainage cleaning, desilting, root cutting and associated drainage maintenance activities.
- Support CCTV drainage investigations and work collaboratively with CCTV Drainage Engineers on site.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report site incidents, hazards and near misses promptly to your Supervisor.
- Respond proactively to site challenges and help resolve issues before they escalate.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure all planned work is completed efficiently.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality results, reports and customer feedback.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
- Be flexible in supporting out-of-hours works, early starts, weekend working and UK-wide operational requirements when needed.
About You…
We're looking for an experienced HGV Jetting Engineer who is safety-focused, customer-oriented and passionate about delivering high-quality drainage services.
You will have:
- A clean HGV Driving Licence.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience operating HGV jetting equipment.
- NRSWA Street Works qualification.
- Confined Space Level 2 (or above).
- High Pressure Water Jetting qualification.
- Manual Handling certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- CSCS card.
- Fit to Work certification.

Desirable qualifications:
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Personal Track Safety (PTS).
- Water Hygiene.
- Reverse Assist certification.
You will also have:
- Experience within the Utilities sector, ideally within the drainage industry.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety best practice.
- Knowledge of wastewater and drainage network operations.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.
