HGV/PSV Mechanic Roles – WJF Technical Support

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, including trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and MOT preparations to meet regulatory standards.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs and services completed.
  • Assist with vehicle breakdowns and emergencies where needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HGV/PSV mechanic or similar role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or an equivalent qualification).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A valid HGV/PSV license is advantageous (but not mandatory).
  • Must be a UK resident and eligible to work in the UK.
