- 4 on / 2 off – Alternative shifts can be discussed at interview
- 12-hour shifts, with various start/finish times to be discussed at interview
- Permanent contract with weekly pay
Full training provided.
About the Role
We are a market-leading provider of 24/7 Breakdown and Recovery services, proudly supporting local authorities, emergency services, motoring organisations, and private companies nationwide for over 40 years.
Due to continued growth and new contracts, we are expanding our team and recruiting:
- 7.5T Recovery Drivers
- Class 2 Recovery Drivers
- Heavy Recovery Drivers
This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. We're looking for motivated, adaptable individuals who thrive under pressure, work confidently alone, and deliver a professional and efficient service.

Requirements
You must hold:
- A 7.5-tonne licence, HGV Class 1, or Class 2 licence
Additional requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Proven driving experience (recovery experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure and independently
- Clean record (passes Police vetting required)
- Good local geographical knowledge
- Flexible approach to working hours
What You’ll Do
- Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across our operational area
- Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes
- Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard
- Ensure all jobs are recorded using company PDA systems
- Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required

- Competitive hourly rate (up to £19.00ph for Class 1, £16.00ph for Class 2, £15.00ph for 7.5T, dependent on shift and experience)

Additional Notes
- Day roles include on-call requirements (explained at interview)
- Both day and night shifts available
- Employment subject to proof of right to work in the UK
- This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (due to work with Police authorities)
- Mandatory Police vetting (failure may result in withdrawal of offer or termination)
