The Role at a Glance
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll join the Technical Downtime team in Trowbridge, supporting our largest customers by ensuring their fleets stay on the road.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor and amplify vehicle maintenance progress via phone calls to garages, chasing to minimise downtime
- Review and approve repairs on vehicles (up to agreed limits) via 1link system
- Maintain transparency with customers—updating them on vehicle status and coordinating with drivers as needed
- Action and escalate queries efficiently to keep operations seamless
- Uphold accuracy in our systems, ensuring all data is up-to-date and input correctly

Work Location & Hours
- Hybrid role (50% office-based at Trowbridge)
- Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week – No evenings, no weekends required
Fit for the Role? What We’re Looking For
Technical Background
- Proven hands-on experience in HGV/diesel mechanics (garage, workshop, or fleet environment)
- Passion for vehicular diagnostics—from routine faults to advanced troubleshooting
- Quick-decision maker with a problem-solving mindset
