NVD UK Ltd has excellent career opportunities for HGV Mechanics at Birtley, Tyne & Wear. We require someone who is reliable, flexible, and prepared to work hard and able to communicate on a good level with a positive attitude to Health & Safety.

This position is a full time position based in the Birtley workshop

Pay and Benefits

  • £40,560 - £55,770 per year plus overtime.
  • Up to £2500 bonus on successful completion of probation
  • Full training provided in IRTEC, BPW, Knorr-Bremse, Rolfo, Transporter engineering, LOHR. etc

Requirements

  • Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • HGV mechanical experience is a must
  • A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
  • Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
  • Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
  • Full driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT.
  • Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
  • Assist with apprenticeship training.
