HGV Technician
HGV Technician – Preston Depot (Full-Time Permanent Role)
Are you a qualified HGV Technician looking for a new opportunity with one of the big six truck manufacturers in the UK?
At MAN Truck & Bus, we are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our depot in Preston on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers flexibility with shift patterns including:
- Day shift
- 4 on, 4 off
- Night shift
About the Role
We are looking for someone with previous experience working with HGVs, particularly in a workshop environment. You should have a clear understanding of the intricate workings of large commercial vehicles.
We also offer a £2,500 joining bonus for Technicians who successfully complete their probation within a limited-time period.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret instructions from job cards/repair orders and follow all repair protocols
- Attend training and stay updated on technical developments
- Accurately report and log all work carried out, including immediate reporting of:
- Further work required
- Identified vehicle faults
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas
- Provide efficient, accurate, and timely information, including:
- Records
- Written reports
- Support the company’s commercial reputation while ensuring professional performance
