About You

We’re seeking an HGV Technician who:

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for growth and development
  • Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
  • Exhibits teamwork and responsibility for their work areas
  • Has planning and problem-solving skills
  • Holds City & Guilds LGV qualifications (or equivalent in LGV Vehicle Crafts)
  • Preference for HGV Licence C+E (essential for promotions in the future)

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Maintain a Zero Harm culture by reporting hazards, collaborating with VMU Coordinators and ** Fleet Line Managers (FLM)**, and upholding safety protocols
  • Flexible Work: Adapt to shifting Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) duties efficiently
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure clean-as-you-go policies and pass internal/external audits
  • VOSA Adherence: Keep repairs aligned with VOSA standards, guaranteeing vehicle availability for timeliness
  • KPI Targets: Drive operational efficiency to meet shift objectives
  • Resource Use: Manage materials/logistics effectively to align with behavioural expectations
  • Maintenance: Keep vehicles and fleet assets in top condition
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside VMU Shift Coordinators and Logistics Teams for seamless operations
