About the Role: HGV Technician
Salary: £53,044.92 Hours: 42 Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

About You
We’re seeking an HGV Technician who:
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for growth and development
- Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
- Exhibits teamwork and responsibility for their work areas
- Has planning and problem-solving skills
- Holds City & Guilds LGV qualifications (or equivalent in LGV Vehicle Crafts)
- Preference for HGV Licence C+E (essential for promotions in the future)
Key Responsibilities
- Safety First: Maintain a Zero Harm culture by reporting hazards, collaborating with VMU Coordinators and ** Fleet Line Managers (FLM)**, and upholding safety protocols
- Flexible Work: Adapt to shifting Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) duties efficiently
- Standards Compliance: Ensure clean-as-you-go policies and pass internal/external audits
- VOSA Adherence: Keep repairs aligned with VOSA standards, guaranteeing vehicle availability for timeliness
- KPI Targets: Drive operational efficiency to meet shift objectives
- Resource Use: Manage materials/logistics effectively to align with behavioural expectations
- Maintenance: Keep vehicles and fleet assets in top condition
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside VMU Shift Coordinators and Logistics Teams for seamless operations
