HGV Technician – Joining Bonus of £1,500!
Location: Biffa Waste – Coventry Depot
About the Role
Pay is £20.59 per hour + shift allowance + £10.00 per week tool allowance.
Shifts run from:
- 04:00 – 13:00
- Rotating availability for overtime and call-outs
Hours:
- Monday to Friday (45hrs per week)
- Additional Saturday shifts when required

As an HGV Technician, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing:
- Commercial vehicles (ranging from light vans to 44-tonne articulated specialists).
- Health and safety compliance (meeting DVSA and company license requirements).
- Scheduled preventative servicing for a diverse fleet.

We’re seeking skilled or semi-skilled technicians with backgrounds in:
- PSV Mechanic
- Heavy Goods Technician
- Lorry Mechanic
- LGV Technician
- HGV Mechanic
Upskilling opportunities are available for all applicants!
Requirements
Must have:
- A full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprentice qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ)
- Van/car driving license (minimum) – HGV licence a plus
- IRTEC qualification (desirable)
