HGV Technician
HGV/HVAC Technician – Avonmouth Customer Workshop Scania GB
Location: Avonmouth Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Role Overview
Scania is seeking an experienced or motivated technician to join their team. Whether you’re a seasoned HGV mechanic or looking to transition into heavy vehicle repair with HVAC training provided, this opportunity offers career progression and on-the-job learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of HGV repair and maintenance, including HVAC servicing and fault diagnosis
- Carry out scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, and vehicular breakdowns
- Integrate into Scania’s structured training programme to develop technical expertise further
- Ensure fulfilment of all health & safety regulations within the workshop
Requirements
- Hands-on experience or transferable skills in automotive/mechanical technical disciplines:
- HGV, LCV, car, agricultural, plant, military, or related sectors
- No formal qualifications required, though proven technical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential
- Commitment to working within specified shift patterns

- Hourly Rate: £16.04 to £19.55 per hour, plus competitive bonuses
