HGV Technician
We are recruiting 2 qualified HGV Technicians
to join a busy engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced vehicle engineers looking for stable, full-time work within a professional workshop environment.
Position: HGV Technician
Reporting to: Assistant Engineering Manager
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rota
Hours:
- 12:00 00:00
- 18:00 06:00
Average of 42 hours per week over 5 days
Pay:
- £22.55 per hour
- Enhanced night rate: Additional £5.00 per hour between 00:00 06:00

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily maintenance on a fleet of HGV's
- Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Undertake repairs and defect rectification
- Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT testing
- Attend roadside breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs
- Perform general servicing and preventative maintenance
- Ensure running defects are identified and corrected promptly
- Work effectively within a busy workshop environment

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a HGV Technician
- Proven experience in vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team
- Comfortable working a 4 on / 4 off shift rota, including night shifts
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced workshop setting
