HGV Technician
HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500!!
About Biffa Waste - Norwich Depot
Pay Rate: £20.59/h + Shift Allowance + £10.00 p/w Tool Allowance
Shift Patterns: 09:00 – 18:00
- Overtime & Call Out Available
Hours: Monday to Friday (45hrs per week), some Saturdays when required
About the Role

As an HGV Technician, you’ll ensure our iconic fleet is kept safe, compliant, and well-maintained. Your responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
- Carrying out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to fulfill Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments.
- Supporting a diverse fleet—from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets, ensuring you have scope to grow and expand your technical expertise.

- Previous roles like PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic were functional.
- Open to skilled or semi-skilled technicians—we offer training and career development opportunities.
Requirements
- Must hold a full Level 3 HGV/PSV Apprentice qualification or an equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds/NVQ) as a Technician-level professional.
- Minimum requirement: Must possess a car/van driving licence.
- Preferred:
- HGV licence
- IRTEC Qualification
