Salary
£37,890.00-£39,995.00 (dependant on experience)
Schedule
Monday-Friday | 37.5 hours | Rotating shifts (no weekends) | Overtime available | HGV licence preferred but not essential

Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00 (week 1) and 14:00 - 22:00 (week 2) - rotating shift. 37.5 hours a week.

At Langdons, we’re growing and looking for an HGV Trailer Technician to help keep our fleet safe and reliable, ensuring our 400+ trailers are serviced and repaired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company and regulatory standards.
We understand that flexibility matters. Part-time arrangements may be considered and can be discussed at interview, however please note that this role will still require working within the rotating shift pattern.
This is a role where your skills genuinely make a difference. You’ll be working on a large, modern fleet, with a structured shift pattern, no weekend work, and the opportunity to boost your earnings through regular overtime.

What you will be doing
- Ensuring trailers are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards
- Preparing and presenting trailers for MOT inspections
- Diagnosing trailer-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
- Liaising with trailer manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary
- Ensuring high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required housekeeping duties meet required standards
- Updating and maintaining appropriate digital records and ensuring all relevant information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis

What we’re looking for
- Do you hold a Class 1 licence (preferred but not essential)?
- Do you have a strong mechanical background with hands-on experience?
- Are you Level 2 qualified, time-served, or IRTEC trained?
- Do you feel confident using transport repair tools and diagnostic software?
- Can you follow procedures while also problem-solving and making sound judgements when needed?
