Are you a skilled vehicle technician with experience working on heavy goods vehicles?

Due to a long-term staff member retiring and the renewal of a long-term contract, SUEZ R&R UK have a rare opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join our team.
As we take pride in our fully equipped workshop at Yate, our vehicles are emptied, washed, and prepared before routine maintenance and there is a strong focus on creating an excellent working environment.
About The Role
Location: Yate, Bristol
Salary: £46,967.07 per annum
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6.30 - 16.00
Hours per week: 45
Overtime: Available x1.5 & x2, plus day in lieu for Bank Holidays
Holiday: 4 weeks holiday (rising each year you're with us) plus 8 days Bank holidays

What will I be doing?
Your job will be to maintain our fleet – a task that will see you working with diverse vehicle technology and sophisticated ancillary equipment. With 7,000 people working across 300 locations, SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is a substantial national business. We have a fleet of over 1,500 vehicles. Day to day you will:
- Carry out service, maintenance and repair of recycling and refuse collection vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
- Attend roadside breakdowns
- Going to satellite site to support contract daily start up
- Prepare and carry out MOT
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to

What are the requirements?

- NVQ level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance OR senior commercial experience as a HGV Technician.
- Proven experience and knowledge of repairing and maintaining vehicles
- HGV licence class 1 or class 2 an advantage but not necessary and opportunities for HGV licences possible
- Inspection training/IRTEC accreditation an advantage but can be provided.
- Hydraulics and pneumatics are an advantage but training can be provided if required
- HGV licence class 1 or class 2 an advantage but not necessary and opportunities for HGV licences possible
- Must be able to inspect vehicles to the DVSA standards and above
- The offer will be subject to the completion of a Basic DBS check
