Salary: Competitive Salary of £45,225.11 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00 (week 1) and 14:00 - 22:00 (week 2) - rotating shift. 37.5 hours a week.
Contract: Full-time, permanent
At Langdons, we’re growing, and we’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our team and play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and on the road.
We understand that flexibility matters. Part-time arrangements may be considered and can be discussed at interview, however please note that this role will still require working within the rotating shift pattern.
This is a role where your skills genuinely make a difference. You’ll be working on a large, modern fleet, with a structured shift pattern, no weekend work, and the opportunity to boost your earnings through regular overtime.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards
- Preparing and presenting vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
- Diagnosing vehicle-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
- Liaising with vehicle manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary
- Ensuring high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required housekeeping duties meet required standards
- Updating and maintaining appropriate records and ensuring all relevant information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis

What we’re looking for:
- Do you enjoy a hands-on role where no two days are the same
- Are you qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair?
- Do you have experience using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools?
