Are you ready to be the "Angel" on the road?

Angel Recovery Ltd is looking for professional, skilled, and safety-conscious HIAB Drivers to join our growing fleet. We do more than just transport; we provide specialized lifting solutions and support when our customers need it most.

If you are a precision-focused driver who takes pride in operating high-spec machinery and has a "can-do" attitude, we want to hear from you.

Primary Locations: E1 (East London)

Pay: £19.00 - £25.00 per hour (Starting rate based on experience) + overtime potential.

Terms: Full-time, Permanent, or Contract/Self-Employed.

The Role

As a HIAB Driver for Angel Recovery, you will handle specialized lifting and transport tasks. This role requires a high level of technical skill, ensuring that vehicles, equipment, are moved safely and efficiently using truck-mounted cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate HGV HIAB safely, performing complex lifts in various environments.
  • Secure specialized loads (including vehicles and equipment) using appropriate chains, slings, and straps in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct site assessments before lifting to ensure ground stability and overhead clearance.
  • Provide excellent customer service, acting as a professional representative of the company on-site.
  • Perform daily vehicle and crane checks, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
  • Maintain accurate digital/paper logs and completion of delivery/recovery reports.

About You

We are looking for operators who are methodical, safety-oriented, and able to remain calm during technical maneuvers.

  • HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) License (held for a minimum of 1 year).
  • Valid HIAB Certificate (e.g., ALLMI, CPCS, or equivalent).
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions with flexible shift patterns.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in vehicle recovery.
