Hides Department Role – Cattle Hide Processing Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our well-established and experienced Hides department at Dunbia Treburley.
In this role, you will ensure cattle hides are properly sorted, preserved, and processed through chilling, salting, and weighing before despatch. You may also assist with loading lorries.
No previous experience is required, but a strong work ethic is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Preserve cattle hides through chilling, salting, and weighing
- Assist with loading lorries for despatch
- Maintain high standards in a fast-paced, physical, and outdoor working environment
- Demonstrate time management, communication, and independent initiative
- Work flexibly to support customer demands when required

Location & Hours
- Remote site (own transport advantageous)
- Core hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Flexible additional hours may be required, with overtime pay beyond 37.5 hours
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary
- Physical fitness and comfort working in outdoor, fast-paced conditions
- Self-motivated, positive, and adaptable approach
- Ability to work independently with occasional supervision
- Strong communication skills to support team collaboration

Wage & Benefits
- Starting wage: £12.71 - £12.90 per hour
- Premium overtime pay (eligible after 37.5 hours)
- No company sponsorship available for overseas applicants
