Counselling and Psychological Therapies for Depression (CPTD) Service
The Counselling and Psychological Therapies for Depression (CPTD) service, based at Cardiff Royal Infirmary, is a large, friendly team that offers counselling and a range of other psychological interventions to treat people experiencing depression. The service is excited to be able to offer new opportunities to join the service and support the team in service delivery and development.
About the Role
The successful applicant will deliver psychological care to clients within CPTD, be involved in staff support and supervision, and support in the delivery and development of care pathways within the service. They will work closely with the clinical and operational management in providing service evaluation and development of psychological and psychosocial interventions, teaching, and staff support in the delivery of clinical care.
The post holder will deliver specific high-intensity evidence-based psychological interventions for patients within the service.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-intensity, specialist evidence-based psychological therapy interventions (requiring psychological therapist specialist training).
- Support the delivery of a pathway of condition-specific care which will deliver high fidelity psychological interventions as designated in Matrics Cymru.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues in the development and implementation of specialist psychological therapy in the context of more complex care which address the physical, psychological, and psychosocial needs of service users and their families/carers.
Requirements
- Highly skilled clinician with a breadth of mental health expertise in this field.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
