Avline Health is a data-driven women’s health platform that turns complex biological and scientific information into clear, actionable insight. Through its PelviBiome™ at-home kit, the company provides precise data on the vaginal microbiome to support women and practitioners. Avline Health focuses on educating about links between the microbiome and conditions such as recurrent UTIs, bacterial vaginosis, fertility challenges, perimenopause, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), and other pelvic health concerns. The organization aims to address fragmented, conflicting information and limited diagnostics that often affect women’s health. Its mission is to unlock new frontiers in women’s health through innovation and education, improving outcomes and empowering individuals.
About the Opportunity
This 12-week placement is specifically designed for current university students seeking to fulfil a mandatory, credit-bearing curricular placement module or an authorized work experience unit. Over the course of 3 months, you will work closely with our founding team to understand how an early-stage start-up structures its internal workflows, data management frameworks, and daily digital operations.

To ensure your academic studies come first, this placement features fully adaptable hours designed to fit entirely around your university timetable. No placement activities will take place during your scheduled lecture hours or mandatory seminars.
What You Will Learn & Apply
This placement is structured to elevate your academic competencies into highly marketable corporate skills. Through structured, hands-on exposure across the 12 weeks, you will develop:

- Gain skills in structuring raw datasets, maintaining data hygiene, and utilizing Excel formulas to organize operational metrics.

- Learn to apply corporate styling guidelines, manage version control, and draft formal internal briefs and operational documentation.

Eligibility & Compliance Criteria
To comply with the GOV.UK Work Experience Rules for the National Minimum Wage student exemption, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a UK-based further or higher education course.
- The placement must be a compulsory, authorized, or formally recognized component of your course.
- Agreement: Written confirmation or a standard tripartite placement agreement from your university placement officer must be provided prior to your start date.
- Visa Status: If studying on a student visa, working hours must strictly adhere to term-time visa restrictions (typically a maximum of 10 or 20 hours per week) and cannot conflict with your course timetable.
