A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southall is seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA looking to take on a varied role within a supportive school. The successful candidate will work across the primary age range, delivering interventions, covering classes during teacher release time, and supporting teaching and learning across the school.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have significant experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Have previous experience supporting teaching and learning within a primary school
- Be confident leading whole-class lessons in the teacher's absence
- Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Be able to deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
- Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Be flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team

The Role Will Involve
- Providing PPA and short-term class cover across the school
- Delivering planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning
- Supporting pupils through targeted interventions in English and Maths
- Working closely with class teachers to support pupil progress
- Assisting with assessment and monitoring pupil development
- Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
