Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Elements Multi Academy Trust,

Jesson's CE Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school.

We are looking for someone who has:

a relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification or higher a good standard of education including English & maths (GCSE/Level 2) excellent communication and interpersonal skills experience of working within a classroom setting and with primary aged pupils excellent behaviour management skills the ability to work on their own initiative, and also work well as part of a team

The key responsibilities will include:

Implement and undertake work in line with the Higher Level Teaching Assistants Standards To contribute to planning, preparing and delivery of learning activities and support programmes to individual or groups of pupils Delivering and planning lessons for groups of pupils/whole classes Supporting the class teacher(s) within school To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop. Assisting the pupils with developing academically, socially, and personally To use behaviour management strategies in line with the schools policy and procedures, which contribute to a purposeful learning environment. To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
