Fixed rate band: Salary Grade F (Points 14 to 19) Salary range: £29,540 – £32,061 (full-time equivalent) – pro-rated for part-time hours Minimum annual starting salary (pro-rata): £22,416.63
About the Academy
Macaulay Primary Academy, part of the Delta Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a permanent, part-time role, commencing in September 2026.
Located in Grimsby’s West Marsh area, we are a larger-than-average primary Academy serving 430 pupils (Nursery to Year 6).

Your Role: The HLTA at Macaulay
As an HLTA, you will:
- Support teaching staff by working collaboratively with them to enhance curriculum delivery, planning, and resource development.
- Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
- Contribute to academy policies and strategies, while mentoring and supporting staff and pupils.
- Develop pupils’ independence as learners through one-to-one and group support.
- Deliver high-quality instruction and assessment to support (and exceed) teaching objectives.
- Assist with pupil welfare, inclusion, and engagement in all aspects of Academy life.
You will utilise your advanced skills and expertise to reinforce teaching aims, ensuring all students achieve their potential.
