Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Opportunities

Location

BANES

Pay

£110 - £130 per day

Start Date

September 2026

Connex Education is seeking skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of primary schools across BANES, having partnered with Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust from September 2026.

We are working exclusively with a large and highly regarded Multi-Academy Trust that operates across the South West. The Trust is well known for its inclusive approach, strong community connections and commitment to delivering high standards of education while supporting the wellbeing and development of both pupils and staff.

We are looking for confident and experienced HLTAs who can support learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. This role involves taking an active lead in classroom support, delivering interventions and, where required, covering planned lessons.

The Role

  • Support and enhance teaching and learning across primary classrooms
  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities when required
  • Lead targeted small group and 1:1 interventions
  • Support pupils within whole-class learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
  • Assist in implementing EHCP targets and tailored learning plans
  • Contribute to a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt effectively across different school settings and year groups

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
