About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provisions across Stubbin Wood School, King Edward Primary School, and Chesterfield Football Club.
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant committed to providing high-quality support and teaching for pupils.

Key Responsibilities
Your main focus will be on:
- Ensuring continued high standards of learning and pupil achievement.
- Working with SEND children, with experience of:
- Alternative communication systems and visual supports.
- Conditions linked to non-verbal profiles, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- Leading and assisting with class teaching (under supervision) as directed:
- Supporting a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Ensuring pupils reach their full potential in all learning areas.
- Organising and managing teaching resources and spaces to:
- Maintain a stimulating, safe and engaging environment.

Desirable: Experience using Makaton.
Requirements
- Essential:
- Proven experience working with SEND children.
- Knowledge and understanding of alternative communication systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of non-verbal profiles, particularly ASC.
- Ability to support the implementation of a balanced curriculum in a SEND school setting.
- Preferable:
- Familiarity with Makaton.
- Prior experience in classroom teaching and leadership (under supervision).
