Hours of Work:

30 hours per week

Working Pattern:

  • Part-time
  • Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

The Governors wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in the main school site experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs. The post involves covering whole classes in the main school as well as providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students in Behavioural Alternative Provision (Internal Exclusion). The balance between these duties will be judged based on the candidates’ qualities, skills, and ambitions.

The Hours of Work:

30 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. term time (plus inset days).

The Actual Salary:

£21,074 to £22,463 a year (39 working weeks, 45.05 paid weeks a year). The salary is based on Single Status, Grade 8, spinal points 20 to 22, £30,084 to £32,067. If you would prefer to work less than 30 hours a week, please include this in your application.
