Salary: NJC Point 15 - 22

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year)

About You:

Three Peaks Primary Academy is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every child to achieve their full potential.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs within a primary school setting
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusion and ensuring positive outcomes for all learners
  • Be confident in delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Work effectively alongside teachers, the SENDCo, parents and external agencies
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Promote pupils’ wellbeing, confidence and independence
  • Show a commitment to continuous professional development

About the Teaching Assistants Team:

At Three Peaks, our Teaching Assistants work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to ensure that all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), can access learning and achieve success.

As our HLTA (SEND), you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of targeted interventions, adapting provision to meet individual needs, and promoting pupils' independence, confidence and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENDCo, families and external professionals to ensure that pupils receive the support they need to thrive.
