We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Woodlands School, as part of our satellite provision based at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Esher.

Details

  • Job title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Special Needs
  • Location: This role is based at Woodlands satellite site, Cranmere Primary School, Esher, Surrey with occasional travel across East Surrey and to Woodlands School (Leatherhead).
  • Hours: Part time, 33.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year, term time only.
  • Salary: PS6 (Surrey) £24,534 - £26,311 p.a. (FTE £30,647 - £32,867)
  • Contract: Part time. Permanent and fixed-term contracts of 1 year available
  • Responsible to: Class Teacher

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Working as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, support teaching provision, development, and implementation of learning for pupils
  • Under the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations, and promoting positive attitudes to learning
  • Prepare, plan, and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need
  • Promote and support the development of pupils’ social and emotional needs

Essential Requirements Include:

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding, and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • A minimum of a Level 2/3 qualification in a teaching and learning related discipline
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
