Higher Level Teaching Assistant : Mondays off

Location: Harrow

A wonderful, inclusive primary school in Harrow is looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who's got the heart, the energy, and the talent to help every child feel like a superstar.

What You'll Be Doing as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting children one-to-one and in small groups, helping them find their rhythm and thrive in the classroom.
  • Leading classes in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Leading learning activities that make every child feel seen, valued, and part of something special.
  • Working with pupils who have additional needs, offering patience, encouragement, and a bit of sparkle along the way.
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to create lessons that sing: inclusive, creative, and full of life.
  • Being that steady, uplifting presence every child deserves, especially on their toughest days.

  • You've got experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, or equivalent, and a real passion for helping children grow.
  • You bring warmth, humour, and a touch of creativity to everything you do.
  • You're confident leading groups and stepping up to teach when needed.
  • You believe in inclusion, kindness, and giving every child a fair chance to shine.
  • You're reliable, dedicated, and know how to keep the classroom atmosphere upbeat and inspiring.
