Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist

Job Opportunity: Cardiac Physiology – Temporary Cover for Maternity Leave (1 Year) – Sussex Cardiac Centre, Brighton

The Sussex Cardiac Centre at the Royal Sussex County Hospital is undergoing significant modernisation as part of the 3Ts project, transforming services into a state-of-the-art facility. Our new Louisa Martindale Building houses a dynamic, fast-paced department offering a wide range of diagnostic investigations, including:

  • Routine and advanced TTE (transthoracic echocardiography), including 3D, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Echo, Contrast Echo, Bubble Echo, as well as Adult Congenital and Heart Failure screening.
  • TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography) services supporting complex structural interventions in the Kath lab and all clinical listings.
  • Participation in research studies (e.g., TAVI, ASD, and PFO closures).

The Cardiac Catheter Labs is a busy multidisciplinary team specialising in:

  • Complex structural interventions
  • Complex EP (ventricular tachycardia VT/atrial fibrillation AF ablation)
  • PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention)

Flexible Coverage Opportunity

We are recruiting a temporary team member to support the device and EP team (or related specialities) for 1 year, covering maternity leave.

Visa Sponsorship Eligibility

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UKVI Skilled Worker route, provided applicants meet specific criteria:

  • Must evidence the relevant skill and salary thresholds (e.g., Senior HCA candidates require ≥2 years’ experience in the same role).
  • Applicants on a Graduate visa must have ≥18 months’ remaining visa validity as of application.
